Since 1995 Debt Clinic Why the Debt Clinic is needed: As more and more Americans find themselves mired in debt, many consumers find they have nowhere to turn for credible legal counsel with regard to their financial situations. Due to the high costs of lawyers, these people become despondent and often make rash decisions without learning about their legal rights as consumers. CENTS' Debt Clinic provides a free service to consumers that will help guide their future financial decisions and make informed choices about debt reduction and bankruptcy claims. Free financial advice from legal professionals: In conjunction with the King County Bar Association, CENTS offers clients who are considering bankruptcy or have other debt management issues an opportunity to speak with an attorney free of charge. Open to all living in King County, CENTS' Debt Clinic offers one-on-one counseling with an attorney that specializes in advising consumers on fiscal matters. Please note: Debt clinic attorneys will not fill out paperwork or represent you in court. Also, you must be a King County resident for this service.
